The Playground

I took these pictures for The Raleigh School magazine a while ago. I love some of the light and emotion from the kids in these images, especially the second one of a girl about to shoot a basketball. I feel like the weight of the women's movement is on that shot as the boys behind her watch in anticipation. 

Does she make it? 

Of course she does. 

We celebrated her victory with some mud pies for all.
