A storyteller at heart.
In addition to freelance photography, Mick also works as a Content Marketing Specialist for Special Olympics Minnesota, a non-profit that serves people with intellectual disabilities. They bring joy to the world by promoting inclusion through sports.
She also writes and takes photographs for local magazines and newspapers. Some publications where Mick has been published are the Star Tribune, Triangle Tribune, WALTER Magazine, Durham Magazine, Midtown Magazine, and Chapel Hill Magazine.
As a personal project, Mick partnered with Arrive Ministries in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a non-profit that helps refugees and immigrants transition to a new life in the United States. Her work with them is an extension of a year-long project she did with Durham World Relief in 2020. Mick captured the lives of refugees and volunteers and the final images were displayed through the Durham Arts Guild.
