Mark and Caitlyn

Mark and Caitlyn are like the North Carolina beaches - they’re easy going, fun, warm and inviting. I fell in love with these two from the minute they walked up to our engagement session at Fort Fisher in North Carolina. We spent the evening chatting about their new lives on the coast. They recently moved to be near water and it suits them. I could picture them as an old married couple holding hands, drinking beers and watching the world go by in a boat. They kind of swept me up in their fun, and super sweet personalities - I wanted to by my own boat and move next door by the end of our session!

I felt like I was greeting old pals by the time I arrived in Southport, NC with my second shooter (the amazing Jaclyn Auletta). The wedding was everything I imagined it would be and more thanks to their wedding planners at Blue Satin Bee. Mark and Caitlyn focused on the moment and didn’t let the small stuff get in the way.

One of my favorite moments was when Caitlyn surprised Mark by having their reception intro be the Pittsburgh Steelers theme song and everyone waved team towels. I think every single person, no matter how old or young, got up and danced the polka together. And I’m serious when I say I don’t think a single person left that dance floor all night. They were still going strong when I left!

These two have a fun crowd supporting them and I’m sure many more parties to come in their lives together. I’m so thankful I had the chance to meet them and document their big day. Congrats Mark and Caitlyn! So much love and lots of hugs to you!
